The Blackhawks losing streak continued last night as the rival Red Wings rallied from a 2-1 deficit to win in overtime. Blackhawks defenseman Nick Leddy had a hand in the winning goal as the Detroit's Pavel Datsyuk banked in the winning goal off him from a weird angle 3:08 into the overtime period. Dave Bolland and Patrick Sharp each scored for the Hawks. Sharp left last night's game with an upper body injury.

Villanova 87, DePaul 71

DePaul dropped to 1-2 in Big East conference play as Villanova snapped a three-game losing streak. Maalik Wayns scored 21 points and Dominic Cheek added 20 for the Wildcats, who shot 63 percent in the first half and won this game easily despite turning the ball over 28 times. Brandon Young led DePaul with 22 points as the Blue Demons dropped to 3-53 lifetime in Big East play.

Northern Illinois 38, Arkansas St. 20

The Huskies capped off a terrific 2011 season by beating Arkansas St. in the GoDaddy.com bowl. NIU quarterback Chandler Harnish was hobbled by a sore ankle and wasn't the one-man wrecking crew he normally was. But Huskies receiver Martel Moore caught eight passes for 224 yards and a touchdown to pick up the slack. Harnish finished the game with 274 yards passing, two touchdowns and an interception and his performances this season should garner him some serious looks from NFL scouts.
