Pencil This In: Meet Your Local Distiller At Jerry's

Local Craft Spirits

This is a bit of an advance notice but worth mentioning now. Jerry's Sandwiches is hosting a "Meet Your Local Distiller" event Feb. 8 from 7-10 p.m. The distillers from Koval, Few Spirits and North Shore Distillery will all be on hand and the $10 admission includes a specialty cocktail crafted for the event by North Shore's resident mixologist, Leanne Strickler. Stout Tasting

The Bluebird's stout tasting tonight includes some rarities and specials you may not find anywhere else. Included on the list are Founder's Canadian Breakfast stout; a 2009 North Coast Old Rasputin; Lost Abbey's 2009 Serpent stout; and Victory's Dark Intrigue. (1749 N. Yoko Noge's Jazz Me Blues Band will lay down some danceable grooves at Andy's tonight, starting at 7 p.m. (11 E. Hubbard St., $10)
