Extra Extra: Audio Released From Midway Airport Near-Collision

- The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the near-collision of two aircraft at Midway Airport, and they've released audio from the cockpit. The planes came within 300 feet of each other. [CNN]

- Some vegetarian food writer went to meat-centric restaurants in Kansas City and complained about there not being vegetarian meals available. Clearly he's just bitter about being assigned to work in the Midwest because we know the song doesn't say "amber waves of beef." [NY Times]
