Disappointed local and craft beer enthusiasts have taken to the pages of Craigslist in hopes of scoring tickets to Lincoln Square's sold out Winter Brew event, which is scheduled to take place this Saturday at the Dank Haus on Western Avenue.
Tickets to the beer tasting and indoor festival sold out as early as Jan. 18. Ticket holders appear to be clutching their tickets for dear life, while those who missed out are desperately seeking them, even at a steep premium. Tickets were originally sold for $10 on the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce website. Now, offers for tickets are as high as $60 for a pair.
The Lincoln Square Winter Brew will include tastings from local favorites 5 Rabbit Brewery, Half Acre, Metropolitan Brewing, Finch's Beer Company, and Revolution Brewery. Lincoln Square's Grafton Pub and Fountainhead will provide food. Tickets to the event do not include tastings; attendees must buy food and drink tickets for $1 a ticket. One ticket buys a 2 ounce beer tasting; a 9 ounce beer will cost 4 tickets.
Chicagoist's own Alex Hough will be attending the Winter Brew event. Look for his complete recap next week.
