Blackhawks fans got a glimpse of what the team would be like without Jonathan Toews for an extended stay. The way the Predators have been playing lately, having "Captain Serious" on the ice may not have mattered. Chicago hasn't fared well against Nashville this season. Last night's 3-1 loss dropped the Hawks to 0-3 against their surging Central division rivals, who have now won 12 of their last 14 games. Predators goalie Pekka Rinne was sensational, stopping 24 of the 25 shots he faced. The Hawks, meanwhile, looked slow on the ice and played loose defense. Only Dave Bolland's third-period goal prevented the shutout. The Blackhawks enter the NHL All-Star break with a 29-15-6 record. Their 64 points equal Nashville's and are only three points behind division-leading Detroit.
