2011_01_valentines1.jpeg Some people will be lavishing their Valentines with limo rides, expensive jewelry, and extravagant dinners this year. Suckers.

Whether you’re on a restricted budget or you’re just naturally cheap frugal, here are some affordable ideas and specials around Chicago for Valentine’s Day.

$25: Dinner Deal for Two at Mity Nice
For the lover who loves burgers. Lettuce Entertain You’s Mity Nice has 2 beers, a shareable 1 pound burger, and a mix of sweet potato and regular fries for $25. Total. For the both of yas. Reservations can be made by calling (312) 335-4745.

Mity Nice is located at 835 N. Michigan Avenue, on the Mezzanine level of the Water Tower Place.

$17 and up: Heart Shaped Pizzas at Giordano’s
Aww. Cute. Heart-shaped pizzas are available at all Chicagoland Giordano’s locations on February 14th. Pizzas start at $17 and are available for any stuffed pizza combination. There’s something mysteriously romantic about a pizza and a bottle of red wine. We expect a rise in the birthrate around November.

Free: Museum of Contemporary Art
Valentine’s Day just happens to fall on a Tuesday this year, and the Museum of Contemporary Art just happens to be free on every Tuesday in 2012. The museum is open from 10:00am to 8:00pm.

The Museum of Contemporary Art is located at 220 E. Chicago Avenue.
