Disappears/Verma Offshoot E+ Posts Craze-Balls Amount Of New Material

2012_01_e_plus.jpg E+, a veritable Voltron of a new local psych-rock act consisting of members from Disappears, Verma, and garage-rockers Heavy Times, have been posting new material like craze-balls on their Soundcloud page. Preview some songs before catching them live this Wednesday at Schubas.

E+ have no formal/official recordings to their name as of yet, but the combination of talent involved is enough to make underground music fans salivate. The recordings are of live shows and demos, so they're a little bit raw and rough around the edges, naturally, but what's there suggests a potent combination of Gothic atmosphere and noir-ish psychedelia. Fans of Joy Division and Suicide will gravitate toward a lot here.

Take a listen to the spare, haunting likes of "Disappear" and "{Mithra} Sunn 88," both recently uploaded live recordings from the band's show at the Beat Kitchen; and "had to lose," a demo uploaded last week.

E+ plays with Coffin Pricks, Wimps on Wednesday, February 1st at Schubas. The 18+ show starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are $6 advanced, $8 day-of.
