Here's a novel way to clean up your Netflix Instant queue. (Or add to it, if you're so inclined.) The local film blog F This Movie is planning what founder Patrick Bromley calls the world's first all-Twitter film festival starting noon this Saturday, Feb. 4, as a celebration of F This Movie's 100th podcast

Bromley has selected five films from the year 1982: Blade Runner, Fast Times At Ridgemont High, The Dark Crystal, The Road Warrior, and Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan. He says 1982 is his favorite year in film and, based on the strength of the five selections, we can see why.

Most of these films are available on Netflix Instant. (If you aren't sure, you can always check the indispensable Instantwatcher.com to verify availability of the selections.) To take part in the festival, all you have to do is direct all comments to F This Movie's Twitter account and use the hashtag #fthismoviefest. After all the movies have been viewed, Bromley will record the milestone 100th podcast where they'll discuss the festival, share some favorite tweets and announce the winners of their "F This Movie! Win Our Stuff!" contest. If we didn't have to judge some barbeque Saturday, we'd be all over this as new Netflix converts.
