Bulls 105, New York 102

The Bulls evened their record on their current nine-game road trip under the bright lights of the world's most famous arena, Madison Square Garden. Derrick Rose scored 30 points for the third time in four games. Rose scored 15 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter to go with 13 assists and four rebounds. But the Knicks hung tight until the final seconds. Amar'e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony both missed potential game-tying treys in the final seconds. Rose's performance was an exclamation point on his being named a starter for the Eastern Conference All-Star game.

Edmonton 8, Blackhawks 4

Unlike their December game, a 9-2 loss that served to light a fire under the Blackhawks' collective ass, Cold Steel on Ice actually managed to make a game of it last night, until the third period. Edmonton's Sam Gagner had a night that ranked with the classic performances of Wayne Gretzky and Paul Coffee. Gagner scored four goals and assisted on the Oilers' other four goals to tie the club record set by the two Hall of Famers. Corey Crawford was pulled in favor of Ray Emery as the wheels fell off. Patrick Sharp scored two goals for the Blackhawks.
