It hasn't been an easy road trip for the Blackhawks and their struggles continued Friday night against Calgary. The Hawks have lost their last five games and the first three of their nine game road trip. Brent Seabrook scored the only goal for the Blackhawks in the first period to tie the game at one. The Blackhawks out shot the Flames 13-6 in the first period, but Calgary came out firing in the second and flipped the shots on goal to their advantage at 16-6. Ray Emery stopped 29 of 32 shots against the Flames, but the Blackhawks still lost their seventh straight road game.

Cleveland State 65, Loyola of Chicago 47

The Ramblers have struggled this season and Friday was no better—the team lost to Cleveland State for their 10th consecutive loss, their longest losing streak in nearly 20 years. Loyola guard Joe Crisman led the team with 14 points and the Ramblers were able to keep it close; they were only down 26-18 at the half. But the Vikings came out with a 7-0 run at the beginning of the second half to secure a double digit lead for the remainder of the game, which resulted in Loyola going 0-12 in the Horizon League conference. But that's what happens when you only shoot 40 percent from the field against a team that's making nearly 70 percent of their shots.
