You could call The Asteroids Galaxy Tour a commercial band since their initial break onto the scene was through an Apple commercial with their tune "Around the Bend," and recently they resurfaced with "The Golden Age" and its prominent placing in an international beer commercial. So you could call the band commercial. Get it? Though the sound the band produces, while slick, isn't exactly commercial.

The group is led by the helium voiced Mette Lindberg and pumps out a glossy party funk with the stem of its beats sinking into the stem of '60s groovy cocktail culture. Think Holly Golightly gone even more go-go girl. And this is not a subtle band. Their horns are always at full blast and the songs are always driving forward, willing the good times along whether they feel like moving along or not.

We'll be honest, the band sounds like it could either be an awesome live show leading the masses into writhing mass of sexy, smiley embraces or they could come across as an air-raid siren of manic happy fun-time untethered in its sonic punishment. Actually, ither way it sounds like it could be an awesome live show.
