The intersection of Harlem Avenue and 63rd Street is back open this morning after a car crash that happened overnight that killed one man and injured two people.

The crash occurred around 3:25 a.m., where Chicago meets suburban Summit. The man who died ran a red light and lost control of his car at high speed, which caused his vehicle to roll over several times and land on top of a second car.

The identity of the man who died in the crash is not known at this time, pending family notification. The two injured men were taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood and Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, respectively, for treatment. A third man at the scene refused medical treatment.
