• Gov. Quinn has added an LGBT section to Illinois' state tourism site, the nicely melodic Enjoy Illinois. [ABC7]

• Longtime Chicago Symphony Orchestra principal English horn and oboist Grover Schiltz died this week at age 80. His interesting obituary notes that he and his wife "bred show dogs, including Pembroke Welsh corgis and dachshunds, producing numerous champions over the years. They also were avid collectors of nomadic rugs, corkscrews and ceramics who traveled the world in pursuit of their hobbies." [Tribune]
