Raymond Palomino, the sole teenager charged as an adult in the beating of a Bridgeport teen caught on video last month that made national headlines, was released from jail and placed on electronic monitoring.

Palomino’s attorney, Ilia Usharovich, argued that his client be released on bond while awaiting trial. Cook County Sheriff's officials approved the electronic monitoring arrangement Friday afternoon. Under the terms of the arrangement, Palomino cannot leave his home. He sat down with Fox News Chicago and said his immediate plans are to earn his high school diploma (Palomino has been suspended from Kelly High School because of the notoriety surrounding the video) and possibly join the Army.

Usharovich set up a website while Palomino was in jail to raise his bail that only raised $600. That money will be returned to their respective donors.
