80-Year-Old Man Beaten To Death At Oak Park Nursing Home

An 80-year-old man died from blunt force trauma to the head that he allegedly received during an altercation with a fellow patient.

Anibal Calderon was a patient in the Alzheimer/dementia ward at Oak Park Health Care. He was injured Sunday and died early Tuesday morning from craniocerebral injuries.

Calderon's death has been ruled a homicide, and a 66-year-old patient in the same ward is believed to be connected to the incident, but Oak Park police are still investigating.
