Drink A One Of A Kind Beer For A Good Cause

By Anthony Todd in Food on Feb 15, 2012 8:20PM

2012_2_15BestBuddies.jpg Beer geeks will have a chance to make a difference this Friday when Small Bar and Best Buddies Illinois team up to debut their new brew. Last year, Small Bar joined up with Best Buddies (a non-profit that works with people with developmental disabilities) to offer a special auction item for their annual gala: a chance to brew a small-batch beer with Doug Hurst at Metropolitan Brewing. The beer is done and ready to tap - and the only chance to try it is this Friday.

The beer is a Dunkel Rye, and a 16-ounce pour costs $6. It's even a decent deal - and of course, you can order anything else you want while you're there. All proceeds from beer sales go back to Best Buddies. The fun begins at 6 PM and ends at 9.

Small Bar Fullerton is located at 1415 W. Fullerton St.
