On their Facebook page, and in an email to local webzine LoudLoopPress, Hozac Records confirmed details of Blackout Fest 2012. This year's lineup includes a headlining set from Redd Kross, who will be performing songs from their debut LP Born Innocent.

Other important details: the three-day festival takes place at the Empty Bottle from May 17 to May 19, and will include the improbably-named likes of Screaming Yellow Zonkers (Chicago), Homostupids (Cleveland, naturally), and Far-Out Fangtooth (Philadelphia). Last year's fest included great acts like Heavy Times, Mickey, and Radar Eyes, so 2012 has a lot to measure up to. That Redd Kross announcement ain't a bad start, but more details will be announced in the upcoming weeks. Here's hoping Blackout 2012 will be one to remember.
