Music

Tickets are still available for tomorrow night's "Winter Soulstice" concert at Metro. Headliner Charles Bradley is a classic soul shouter, with a harsh, gravelly vocal style that draws inspiration from both the early days of James Brown and His Famous Flames and 1960s Southern Soul who, like Daptone/Dunham Records stablemate Sharon Jones, is finding sustained success and acclaim in the twilight of his career. Bradley's No Time for Dreaming does exactly that, with the leisurely tone set by the Menahen Street Band belying the urgency of the singer's performance. "The Screaming Eagle of Soul" brings his backing band the Extraordinaires to Metro tomorrow. Also on the 18+ bill are Little Barrie and The Soul Summit DJs. Doors open at 8 p.m.

Beer

We wrote about Marsha Mallow's Malted Milk Stout, the latest in City Provisions' Cleetus Friedman's Brewing collaborations, last week. this chocolate malted milk stout brewed with New Holland Brewing will be available to drink at City Provisions Deli starting at 6 p.m. tonight.
