Fiona Apple Teases With Short Tour

2012_2_22_fiona facebook 365.jpg Any girl (or guy) who was angsty in the late 90’s surely belted it out with Fiona Apple a time or two to her breakout song “Criminal” (or over and over and over again to the entire Tidal album). And what jaded girl (or guy) can’t appreciate using a 90 word poem to title an album?

Chicago last saw Apple at Charter One Pavilion in 2006 after the release of her last album, Extraordinary Machine. But maybe you would prefer a smaller venue to get a little more intimate with the musician as she pounds on that piano like it’s your ex-boyfriend.

Well, lucky us, after playing a SXSW showcase, she’ll embark on a six city tour that begins at Lincoln Hall on March 19. Rumor has it that she’s set to release a new album this year, which answers all our “why now?” questions.

Tickets go on sale this Friday at noon for $40 a pop and there's a four ticket limit.)
