2012_02_25_daisycutter.jpg • Get behind the scenes today with Growing Power Chicago, which creates community food systems like church gardens. The non-profit organization celebrates its 10th anniversary with events all afternoon. From 1-5 p.m. there will be tours of the facility as well as an aquaponics workshop (with a suggested $75 donation). A silent auction follows with local beer and appetizers from 4-6 p.m. (with a suggested $15 donation).

• Half Acre Beer Co. releases Double Daisy Cutter tomorrow at 11 a.m. at its brewery. The beer, a special release, takes the original Daisy Cutter Pale Ale to the next level with a heftier grain and double dry hopping. Buy it in 22-ounce bottles for $9.99 or a growler for $17. It’ll be on sale until 6 p.m.

• The Chicago History Museum’s History Pub Crawls series includes Booze, Bars, and Bootlegging! Prohibition Era Chicago, which will be held tomorrow from 1-4 p.m. The $30 trolley tour takes you to “infamous speakeasies frequented by some of Chicago’s infamous gangsters like Capone, Moran, and Dillinger,” and includes drink specials. Call 312-642-4600 for tickets.
