Perennial — both the Ryan Poli-helmed version and the current Perennial Virant — has long been housed in a building that looks like it should be a hotel. And at one point, it was. Recently, visitors to Perennial Virant have had to deal with the construction of a new boutique hotel, the Hotel Lincoln.

That construction is over and the Hotel Lincoln is set to open March 8. The new 184-room boutique hotel is ideally located near Lincoln Park, giving guests beautiful views of the park and Lincoln Park Zoo. The Hotel Lincoln's opening can only be a benefit for Perennial Virant. The hotel will also offer room service from Virant, Elaine's Coffee Call is European-style coffee bar featuring La Colombe coffee, and a daily selection of pastries courtesy of Perennial Virant pastry chef Elissa Narow will be available.

But the big news regarding the Hotel Lincoln is the summer opening of a rooftop lounge with 175 outdoor seats, giving guests even more breathtaking views of Lincoln Park and downtown.
