Do you dream of being a pastry chef at one of Chicago's most popular restaurants? Chef David Dworshak posted on Facebook over the weekend that he is looking for a new pastry chef at Carnivale, the near West side’s well-known Latin restaurant. Dworshak, who has been with Carnivale since the beginning, helped to create Carnivale’s Nuevo Latino menu and to develop the staff.

The new pastry chef will join Executive Sous Chef Amanda Barnes and Sous Chef Carlos Garza. Carnivale’s current dessert menu includes selections like coconut cake, a plaintain chocolate chip sundae, banana cream pie, and passionfruit, guava, and pistachio ice creams. We wonder if the new pastry chef will have the ability to change that up, or if he or she will be crankin’ out the existing Carnivale favorites.

The position does not appear on Carnivale’s website, but you could always just stop in with a resume. And maybe bring a plate of cookies or something.
