Pencil This In: Wicker Park-Bucktown Mixologist Mash-up
By Chuck Sudo in Food on Mar 5, 2012 6:40PM
If one were to ask us what drink best describes Wicker Park and Bucktown, we would have said a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Apparently, that isn't the case. The Wicker Park-Bucktown Chamber of Commerce is hosting a "mixologist mash-up" 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Jackson Junge Gallery (1389 N. Milwaukee Ave.). Bartenders from The Boundary,
Club Lucky, Pint, Subterranean and Wicker Park Tavern will be shaking up the drinks they feel best represents the neighborhood. (Seriously, someone should pop open a can of PBR; that will get some votes.) Admission to the event gets attendees Tastings of each bartender's concoction, light appetizers, music by DJ itchie fingers, and a complimentary subscription to Time Out Chicago. You can purchase tickets for $25 online or be that person who pays $35 at the door.
