FBI agents raided a home in Bridgeport yesterday in connection to the hacktivist collectives Anonymous and LulzSec.

Federal authorities have charged six hackers, including one in Chicago, with hacking and other crimes. Suspected Lulzsec leader Hector Xavier "Sabu" Monsegur pleaded guilty in August with cyberattacks on Mastercard and PayPal, and is believed to have acted as an informant to the FBI.

The Chicago suspect arrested in yesterday's raid at the 2900 block of South Quinn Street is Jeremy Hammond. He's alleged to have conducted cyberattacks of Strategic Forecasting, Inc., an Austin, Texas-based global intelligence company.

The raid led to some spirited discussion among members of the "Bridgeport Chicago" group on Facebook, with running commentary of "hipsters" being arrested by the FBI.
