Last Minute Plans: Autre Monde Teams Up With North Shore Distillery

2011_11_22NorthShore.jpg We've been hearing glowing reviews of Autre Monde from all corners, but some Chicagoans need a little nudge to get them out to Berwyn. Well, here it is: North Shore Distillery will be pairing cocktails with a meal tonight at 6:30 p.m. The dinner is a great bargain (unlike some things) and a chance to try a range of wonderful local products.

The chefs at Autre Monde, Dan Pancake and Beth Partridge, have created a 4-course Mediterranean menu, paired with spirits. The menu and pairings are below - highlights include oysters with absinthe and wild boar with pepper infused vodka. Plus, one course is paired with Eldergin, which is becoming quite difficult to find. The entire thing costs $50, including the drinks. Tickets are still available, but be sure to call 708-775-8122 as soon as possible.

Menu:

Oysters on the Half Shell w/ Absinthe Mignonette
North Shore Sirene Verte Absinthe

Gambas al Ajillo (Shrimp a la Plancha)
North Shore Gin No. 6

Wild Boar Confit, braised radishes w/ shallot
North Shore Fresno Pepper Infused Vodka

Sicilian Cannoli
North Shore Eldergin

Autre Monde is located at 6727 W. Roosevelt Road in Berwyn.
