Blagojevich Will Not Quietly Enter Prison

Former Gov. Rod Blagojevich plans on making a statement to media before he reports to prison next week. So much for wanting to quietly enter prison.
Blagojevich spokesman Glenn Selig told The Associated Press he won't slip out of Chicago quietly and will make the statement in person. He hasn't granted interviews since December, fueling speculation that Inmate Number 40892-404 would attempt to slip out of the state without so much as a press release.
Last month, Blagojevich attorney Carolyn Gurland said it was her client's wish to "enter prison with dignity." Selig told the AP, "he governor has always taken things head on and never tried to circumvent anything" and that it was Blago's wish he be granted some privacy to say goodbye to wife Patti and daughters Amy and Annie.
Which should almost guarantee the media will be following Blagojevich's every step.
