We wrote a month ago about our love for Calumet 412, which posts great pictures of "forgotten Chicago ephemera," including Kodachrome photos and black and white images.

Now we've come across another tumblr, Chicago Past, which posts large pictures of the city through the years. The images, many from the turn of the 20th century, are large and clear, but the best part of this tumblr is that each photo is linked to its source. Many come from the Library of Congress or Encyclopedia of Chicago, so you're able to find out more details about the image, such as who took this photo of the Art Institute in the early 20th century and details on this photo of Lake Shore Drive from 1905. There are also some glamour shots of train stations, frilly 1900s fashions, and beautiful shots from the 1893 World's Columbia Exposition. Check out the whole tumblr here.
