A woman has been charged with throwing rubbing alcohol in a bus driver's face after a dispute over an expired CTA fare card Friday evening. Police say Patricia Washington, 44, was boarding the bus at Damen and Harrison avenues when she started arguing with the driver.

Then Washington reportedly was getting off the bus when she turned and threw the rubbing alcohol in the driver's eyes. The driver got off the bus, and the two scuffled, but he detained her until police arrived.

Washington was treated for scrapes and was charged with aggravated battery of a CTA employee. She is being held on $50,000 bond. The bus driver was treated for eye injuries and released.
