"King Cocktail" Coming To The Drawing Room

Dale DeGroff is one of the foremost cocktail experts and mixologists, and one of the foundations for the current cocktail boom happening in the world's culinary meccas, including Chicago. He's taken his techniques and recipes around the world, notably at New York's Rainbow Room, and is an accomplished authors and James Beard Award winner. DeGroff is also a co-founder of the training program the Beverage Alcohol Resource (BAR) and founder of New Orleans' Museum of the American Cocktail.

DeGroff will come to Chicago March 26 for a fundraiser for the Museum of the American Cocktail at the Drawing Room. Accompanied by jazz guitarist Andy Brown, DeGroff will explore bar life in America, from Colonial times to the present, revealing the colorful story of the cocktail and the antics that drove this amazing phenomenon. Masterful storytelling, classic cocktails from bygone eras, and tunes from the Great American Songbook make for an unforgettable evening. Proceeds from this event will enefit The Museum of the American Cocktail.
