Bye Bye, Blago: The Art He Inspired

By Samantha Abernethy in Arts & Entertainment on Mar 13, 2012 9:00PM

As terribly embarrassing as it has been, the saga of Rod Blagojevich has been downright fun. Like we said before, if we couldn't laugh, we'd cry. You surely remember the stellar drawings of Blagojevich and his hand-picked Sen. Roland Burris done by former Chicagoista Lauri Apple. We still use them liberally on the site because quotes like "I can parachute me there" require the proper animation. And that hair. That perfect LEGO hair.

We went through our Flickr pool and picked out a few pieces of Blago-insprired art. In particular, we've featured a number of street art pieces by CRO, aka Ray Noland, known for using political satire in his pieces. His "Run, Blago, Run" graffiti stencil put his career in overdrive since it started popping up in 2009.

Did we miss anything? Let us know in the comments, and we'll add them to the gallery.
