Yesterday Republican voters in three states headed out to the polls to help select who will be the GOP nominee to challenge President Obama in the fall. Mitt Romney proclaimed his love of cheesy grits, but still lost the South to Rick Santorum.

Back in 2008, then-candidate Obama gave a campaign speech in Philadelphia where he told a story about how much he likes pie, and how he stopped for pie in Ohio, and where he met with a small business owner and got to talking about economics.

While Mitt Romney might like cheesy grits (as well as trees and lakes) Barack Obama takes the cake when it comes to telling anecdotes about regional dishes.
