Two Men Interrupt Santorum Rally With A Kiss

2012_03_19_santorum_kiss.jpg During a rally in Arlington Heights, Ill., Friday, two men interrupted GOP candidate Rick Santorum with shouts and a kiss. The two men and their friends were immediately escorted from the venue, while the crowd chanted "USA! USA!"

Dozens of protesters gathered outside Christian Liberty Academy to greet Santorum, holding signs like, “LGBT No H8” and “If I incorporate myself, would you treat me like a person?” Timothy Tross and Ben Clifford declined to say whether their kiss was romantic. “I don’t think the message should be about what my sexuality is,” Tross told Patch. “It’s the message that he’s saying about sexuality that matters.”

Fertile Christian fundamentalist family the Duggars of the reality show 19 Kids and Counting came to Illinois to stump for Santorum this weekend, too. According to the Sun-Times, Jim Bob, Michelle and their children spoke to 200 people at New Life Community Church on Chicago’s South Side. They "stood before the congregation in matching outfits and talked about the role of God in marriage, parenthood and money." We could make a joke about all the things the Duggars and Santorum have in common, but the mere existence of such a political union is too absurd for parody.
