Daniel Olaska (Naperville Police Department)
Last week a grand jury turned in a 14-count indictment, including seven for first-degree murder, against Olaska in connection with the Feb. 4 incident and has been held without bond at Dupage County jail since. In a March 2 bond hearing, DuPage County judge Kathryn Creswell said there were "no conditions or combination of conditions that would reasonably secure the safety of the community." Olaska is accused of stabbing Wild to death after he intervened in an argument between Olaska and a friend of Wild's who allegedly was making fun of Olaska for drinking beer from a wine glass at Frankie's Blue Room in Naperville.
Prosecutors in the case have turned over some video of the incident to Olaska's attorney, Brian Telander. Telander is hoping to obtain all of the footage and other evidence, including blood-stained clothing and medical records of Olaska, Wild and the other two men Olaska is accused of attacking in the incident.
