Chicagoist's NCAA Tournament Challenge Update
By Benjy Lipsman in News on Mar 19, 2012 6:20PM
The first weekend of the NCAA basketball tournament is in the books, and true to its billing, there was plenty of madness throughout the first two rounds. Prior to this year, only four 15th seeds had ever knocked a 2nd seed out of the tourney. Last weekend's action saw Norfolk St. and Lehigh send Missouri and Duke home much earlier than expected, respectively. With the Sweet Sixteen set, we have three double-digit seeds moving on, including 13th seed Ohio.
In the Chicagoist Tournament Challenge, mikedeyoung1479 holds the top spot among out 139 active entries with 490 points. That's good enough to also place him in front of 99.8 percent of all ESPN Tournament Challenge entries!
Yours truly is right behind. My Chicagoist Benjy entry is in second place with 470 points, along with kevinirvineefe and k_mox.
There's still a lot of basketball left to play, and a lot can change before we hear "One Shining Moment" so just because you're further down the standings doesn't mean you can't rise to the top. (Provided you didn't pick Mizzou to go all the way...)
