Morning Box Score: Thibodeau Sets Milestone In Bulls Win

By Chuck Sudo in News on Mar 20, 2012 1:30PM

Bulls 85, Orlando 59

With all the games missed by Bulls players due to injury this season—notably Derrick Rose, who sat out another game with a groin strain—coach Tom Thibodeau is making another strong case for NBA Coach of the Year. The Bulls have the best record in the NBA and last night's win in Orlando made Thibodeau the fastest coach to reach 100 wins in in NBA history, doing so in his 130th game. Carlos Boozer led the Bulls with 24 points and 13 rebounds, while John Lucas III scored 20 points and shot four-for-seven from three-point range. (Lucas' four treys equaled the total number the Magic hit as a team.)

The Bulls also set a franchise record for fewest points allowed in a regular season game. Dwight Howard led Orlando with 18 points and 22 rebounds.
