Since forming last year, Green City Market's Junior Board has been an energetic advocate for the weekly farmers market's mission by reaching out to young professionals across the city and getting them engaged in GCM events and fundraisers. We've attended a couple of their "Meet the Market" events last year and left impressed by the level of commitment of the board members.

Next Wednesday the GCM Junior Board teams up with Sepia and Growing Power for their first event of 2012. Sepia chef and recent James Beard Best Chef: Great Lakes finalist Andrew Zimmerman will craft a five-course menu featuring produce from Growing Power's winter menu, paired with wines by wine director Arthur Hon. It's the first multi-course dinner put together by the Junior Board.

Cost for the dinner is $115 per person. That includes food and wine, tax, gratuity, and a Green City Market donation, and will be held in Sepia's new private dining space. The dinner kicks off 6:30 p.m., March 28 with hors d’oeuvres and a market-inspired cocktail created by head bartender Josh Pearson. To RSVP, call 312-441-1920
