Winning streaks tend to end with a thud. Such was the case at the United Center last night as Nashville, playing without leading scorer Martin Erat, ended the Blackhawks' five game winning streak and managed to chase Corey Crawford out of the game two minutes into the third period. Crawford surrendered four goals before Joel Quenneville replaced him with Ray Emery, who gave up two goals. A Viktor Stalberg wrist shot nearly six minutes into the final frame prevented a shutout. Nashville's Pekka Rinne was superb in goal, stopping 24 of 25 shots. With the win, the Predators vault past Detroit for the Western Conference's fourth seed, while the Blackhawks still claim the sixth seed. Nashville has taken four of their five meetings against Chicago this season.
