Pitchfork 2012 Sells Out 3-Day Passes, Expands Line-Up
By Jon Graef in Arts & Entertainment on Mar 26, 2012 7:20PM
First, the good news: the 2012 iteration of the Pitchfork Music Festival expanded its line-up to include Olivia Tremor Control, The Men, Flying Lotus, and Chicago metallers The Atlas Moth. The bad? Three-day passes are officially sold out.
So while you might not be able to buy a single three-day pass, individual passes are still available for what is shaping to be one of Pitchfork's most eclectic line-ups. Perhaps this is the year where hip-hop and metal became more than just token genres represented by a single act. On the other hand? Feist and Vampire Weekend still exist. But, 20 more acts have yet to be announced, so who knows where this will go.
In addition to all the bands previously mentioned, returning champs Sleigh Bells and Dirty Projectors have been added, as have excellent underground rappers Schoolboy Q and Danny Brown. Peep the line-up so far below, and buy single day passes here while you can. The Pitchfork Music Festival will take place from July 13-15 in Union Park.
