Two Small Children Killed In Southwest Side Collision

Five-year-old Eric Ochoa and 10-month-old Julissa Ochoa were killed when an SUV fleeing a fender bender struck the family's car. Both of the children's parents were also injured, and the children's father remains hospitalized.

The Tribune writes:

The SUV had been involved in a minor accident with another vehicle near 43rd Street and sped southbound, fleeing from the scene of the first accident, police said. The driver of the white SUV was injured and taken to a hospital.

Police say charges will be filed against the driver of the SUV, and he or she is in custody.
