Dennis Rodman Facing Jail Time For Not Paying Child Support

"The Worm" is in deep dirt. Basketball Hall of Famer and former Detroit Piston and Chicago Bull Dennis Rodman is looking at jail time for not paying child and spousal support to his third wife Michelle.

Jack Kayajanian, Michelle Rodman's attorney, alleged in court documents that Dennis Rodman owes $808,935 in back child support for the couple's 9- and 10-year-old children, and $51,441 through March 1 in back spousal support. Michelle Rodman is also seeking attorney fees.

Dennis Rodman's attorney, Linnea Willis, refuted Kayajanian's claims.

"This is nothing more than a smear campaign by a publicity-starved attorney, Mr. Kayajanian, who is seeking to turn a family's misfortune into self-serving headlines," Willis said. "It is absolutely untrue that Mr. Rodman failed to pay child or spousal support. Mr. Rodman has always provided support to his family to the best of his ability and will continue to do so."

Willis filed documents in court indicating she and Dennis Rodman's other attorneys are working for him pro bono and that he's broke, extremely sick and has diminishing marketability as a result, and can barely pay his own living expenses. Dennis Rodman also has a $5,000 child support payment resulting from another relationship, and has had the police called to his Newport Beach, Calif. home 80 times in eight years.

If he's found guilty, Rodman faces up to 20 days in jail.
