Wine Wednesday: Weekend Wine Events

We've got your weekend wine events right here, so make plans to get out there and enjoy spring with a full cup.

Thursday

WineStyles Belmont is hosting a free tasting of Spanish whites. The tasting will go from 6 to 8 p.m. Reservations are not required.

WineStyles Belmont is located at 1433 W. Belmont.

All Wined Up in Clarendon Hills will host Lazaros and Joanne Alexakis from the Alexakis Winery in Crete, Greece. Lazaros and Joanne will open some of their Greek wines and tell visitors about their winery. This event is free and will run from 5 to 8 p.m.

All Wined Up is located at 27 S. Prospect Avenue in Clarendon Hills (just south of the Clarendon Hills Metra stop).

Saturday

The Cork Chronicles and Charles Hammond Jr. will host a wine and music pairing event at Bin 36 from 8 to 10 p.m. Janelle Carter, founder of the Cork Chronicles, will guide attendees through the wine tasting while Charles Hammond Jr. showcases the four songs from his deput EP, “Hello, my name is…”. The hosts will explain how wine and music can be paired to enhance the experience of both. Tickets are $35, and you must buy them in advance. You can spend an extra $30 for a VIP ticket, which gets you in an hour early, more live music, priority seating, and a signed copy of the EP.

Sunday

Acquaviva Winery has a special Easter menu for $35.95 per entrĂ©e. Acquaviva is Maple Park’s 40-acre winery. On Easter, Acquaviva will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can make reservations at (630)365-0333, and inquire about taking a tour while you’re out there.

Acquaviva Winery is located at 47W 614 Rt. 38 in Maple Park.
