We love stupid crime stories as much as the next person, which makes this one a very happy Monday around here. A man robbed a Beverly Radio Shack only to be caught when police tracked him down using a GPS unit that was among the items he stole.

Raymond Jefferson is accused of using zip ties to tie up the employees of a Radio Shack at 2300 W. 95th St. with the help of two unnamed accomplices, brandishing a handgun and robbing the store of $17,000 of electronics, including iPads, the employees cell phones, Kindle readers and a GPS unit.

Police used the GPS unit to track Jefferson, of the 6200 block of South Evans, to Albany Park, where he was arrested and charged with three counts of armed robbery and kidnapping. He's being held on $350,000 bond.
