The Illinois Safe Schools Alliance premiered today a new video featuring high school students "talking" to their future selves. At once touching and disarming, hopeful and personal, we're given a glimpse of the hopes, dreams, fears and uncertainties of teenagers today as they grapple with their sexual and gender identities—no easy feat for any of us, regardless of orientation.
Later this evening, the 2012 Night of Noise converges on the Thompson Center Plaza at 100 W. Randolph St at 5:30 p.m. Closing out today's Day of Silence, students and other participants will speak out about their experiences with today's national action, and then celebrate with music and performances.
