Blagojevich Getting Dish Pan Hands In Prison

Fox News Chicago spoke with the father-and-son legal team of Sam Adam, Sr. and Sam Adam, Jr., who recently visited former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich in prison in Colorado. Sam Adam, Jr. said that, while Blagojevich isn't having a Bluth-like time of his life at the Federal Correctional Center Englewood, he is maintaining a positive outlook about the caged life.

“He’s got a nice sun tan, you could see he’s building himself up, doing more with the weightlifting,” Sam Adam Sr. said. “I would say he’s gained a little weight but it’s all muscle, he’s just in great shape. And the most important thing I could stress is his mental attitude, it is just so great.”

Blagojevich, like all new prisoners in the system, is currently scrubbing pots and pans in the prison's scullery for 90 days. Once that's over, he's expected to begin teaching fellow inmates Greek mythology and Shakespeare. Adam Jr. said it would be a good fit for Blagojevich, whom he called "well-read."

“Let’s put it this way. He is so affable, you forget how educated and well-read he is. He knows a great deal about Shakespeare.”

Adam, Jr. said Blagojevich has received over a thousand letters since reporting to prison March 1, is very popular with his fellow inmates, and his once jet black hair is starting to beginning to show its brown and gray roots.
