Do-Division Line-Up Takes Shape, Adds Black Belles, Peanut Butter Wolf

The Black Belles headline the first night of Do-Division
Summer festival season is on the horizon, and soon enough streets across Chicago will shut down for the sake of live music and street drinking. Do-Division, which is set to kick off the festive time of year, has updated its impressive line-up, adding an array of local and national acts that sets it apart from the multitude of street fests.
Now in its 6th year, the 10-block Wicker Park fest is expanding to span three days and, as it has in the past, will feature continuous live music on two stages. The bill is organized by the Empty Bottle and Subterranean, which have just added garage-goth gals The Black Belles, local soul men JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound, and hip-hop DJ/producer Peanut Butter Wolf to the list. Other notable acts include the previously-announced Mannequin Men, The Antlers, Murder By Death, and BBU, as well as locals White Mystery and Moon Furies.
Along with music, there’ll be a big old sidewalk sale, for which the boutiques, bakeries, and other businesses that line Division bring their shops out to the street. For the parents out there, the fest features a Family Fun Fest on Hoyne, just off of Division, where there’ll be pony rides, a dunk tank, games hosted by the Shedd Aquarium, and a Psychobaby station where kids can get punk hairdos.
Admission to the fest is a $5 donation, and proceeds go to two Wicker Park elementary schools—Friends of Pritzker School and LaSalle II PTO. Check out the line-up:
