Hopleaf Hosts Dogfish Head Ancient Ales Dinner

2012_5_1_dogfish.gif Dogfish Head's Ancient Ales series, where they reverse engineer the early beer experiments of the beginnings of civilization, is one of our favorite beer lines around and an example to the Maryland brewery's focus on creative brewing.

Dogfish Head and their local distributor, Louis Glunz Beers, Inc., have joined up with Hopleaf to create another multi-course Ancient Ales Dinner May 15 at 7 p.m. Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione will be in Chicago for this event, which pairs the beers in the Ancient Ales line with courses specially designed by Hopleaf’s Chef Ben Sheagren.

(Note: Hopleaf Beer Pairing Dinners are intended for omnivores and substitutions cannot be offered to the prix fixe menu, as the dishes have been very carefully designed to complement the beers.)

Tickets are $100 and can be purchased here.
