We were enjoying some beers at Township last Saturday night and happened to catch a performance by Secretive. The act, once known as The Secretive Show, is straight out of Strasbourg, France and caught our ear with their brand of delicate folk-pop, full of soft harmonies, lovely melodies, and a blend of acoustic and electronic sounds.

They released their self-titled full-length back in February, which you can download over at their Bandcamp page for a price of your choosing (including free) along with all of their other releases. We should probably mention that their live performance far exceeds their recorded material, maybe because, on-stage, singer ChloƩ Devouge takes a greater vocal lead and you get a better sense of how stunning her voice is.

Luckily, the band is touring the states right now, and will be heading back to Chicago this Saturday to play The Burlington. They’ll be opening for Chicago’s soulful songstress Natalie Grace & the Boombox Face alongside two other French indie-pop acts, Away From Luka and Original Folks. For now, download the new album and check out a new video for “Who’s On The Radio”:
