Pencil This In: Chicago International Social Justice Film Festival Screening of Admissions At Read/Write Library

2012_5_4_PTI2.jpg The Chicago International Social Change Film Festival’s (CISCFF) mission is to fund and provide a forum for films and art that promote social change and heighten public consciousness regarding issues plaguing communities across the globe while providing access to direct action opportunities to respond to the issues shown in the films and art featured.

Tonight they CISCFF will feature a screening of the short film Admissions as well as facilitated discussion on what it means to be a Social Change film and how film can best be used as a tool of social activism in order to create direct social change. Additionally, we are very fortunate to have Ms. Zoe Bakoru-Bakoko, Former Cabinet Minister and member of Parliament of Uganda, will be speaking on her life's works in activism and social changed. The event begins at 5 p.m. at Read/Write Library (914 N. California)
