Chicago experi-metal trailblazers Yakuza debuted the trailer for Be That As It May, a documentary covering the two-and-a-half year period which includes the making of their 2010 album Of Seismic Consequence, through their social media accounts Wednesday.

The group set up a Kickstarter page for May in the aims of raising more than $10,000 to cover the estimated " 3 months of hardcore editing over 60 hours of footage" required to produce a final cut of the film, which is completely shot and has some sequences in rough cut already. The 10-large will also cover the post-production, manufacturing, and distribution of the film.

As of this writing, the Kickstarter has raised more than $300 from 8 backers, with 43 days left to raise the complete $10,500.

The film is directed by Justin Baron, a Columbia College Chicago grad and film-maker who's worked with the band since 2002. In addition to Be That As It May, Yakuza, whose frontman Bruce Lamont also has a solo career and fronts Chicagoist favorites Bloodiest, have started recording the proper follow-up to Of Seismic Consequence.
