Friday Afternoon Diversion II: The Wrong Side Of History

By Kevin Robinson in Arts & Entertainment on May 11, 2012 9:05PM

This week has been an exciting one for supporters of marriage equality and LBGTQ rights, what with President Barack Obama's "evolution" and all that. With that in mind, we present you with this: five rambling minutes of homophobic nonsense. Which leaves us with a number of thoughts, two of which we'll share with you.

First, this is what people will see in the future when they remember this era of civil rights, not unlike film of white ethnic Chicagoans and deep Southern sheriffs spouting racist diatribes about miscegenation and integrating schools.

Second, maybe this woman isn't really a homophobic crackpot after all. Maybe she's reciting a lost passage of Naked Lunch as part of a radical experiment in performance art, an attempt to impose this profound and disturbing work of literature on an unsuspecting population in middle America?

No, on second thought, she's just a whack job.

(Ed. Note: I think the reaction of the guy behind the woman in the video sums up our reaction when we first watched this. — CS)
